Most fabrics need to be guided only in front of the presser foot.

Fabrics of unusual texture and weave, filmy sheers, crepes, knits, .tricots,

etc., require support while being stitched. For such fabrics apply a

gentle tension by holding seam in front and back of the presser foot as

illustrated.
