Set the POMR control to №e desired sound source:
CD. TUNER.

Of

TAPE.

The set is switched off when the POWER control is set to
OFF/TAPE and the keys of the tape deck are released.

Note: If you use batteries, always be sure to switch the set off

after use. This wit! avoid unnecessary power consumption.

Adjust the volume using the VOLUME comrol.

Increase and decrease the bass level by pressing D8B.

Switch tfie surround sound effect on and off by pressing
INCREDIBLE SURROUND.

The bass level can also be emphasized if you place the set against

a wall or shelf. Do not cover any vents; leave sufficient room
around the unit for ventilation.

Note: The effect of INCREDIBLE SURROUND may vary with

different types of music.

Set the POWER control to TUNER.

Select the wave band using the BAND selector.

Tune to the desired radio station by using the TUNING knob.

Impnnring RADIO reception
For FM stations, pull out the telescopic antenna. To improve the
signal, incline and turn the antenna. Reduce its length if the signal
is too strong (very close to a transmitter).

For AM stetions, direct the built-in antenna by turning the whole
set. The telescopic antenna is not needed.

Press the STOP □ button to stop CD play.

Display indication; the total number of tracks.

You can interrupt CD play by pressing PLAY-PAUSE CHS. Continue
CD play by the button again.

Displ^ indication: the current track number flashes.

Note: CD play will also stop if:

-youopentheCDcorrtparhnent,
-the end of the CD is reacted, or

- you move the POWER control to TUNER or TAPE.

If you make a mistake when operating the CD player, or if the
CD player cannot read tee CO, the display shows E ot na. (See
’TROUBLESHOOTING’)

If you press PLAY PAUSE OH and there is no CD inserted, tee

display shows/to.
