□ Make sure the shaving head is always in full
contact with your skin.
B Turn Groomer OFF by pressing the on/off
button (Fig. 10).
Shaving with the back shaving attachment

Press the release button (1) and open the
back shaving attachment (2) (Fig. 11).
B Place the Groomer in the lower part of the
holder of the back shaving attachmenL

Press the top against the top part of the
holder until it locks into place with a click
(Fig. 12).

Turn Groomer ON and shave your back by
moving the back shaving attachment up and
down by the handle (Fig. 13).
Note: The back shaving attachment handle can be
folded to different angles (Rg. 14).

Remove the Groomer from the back shaving
attachment by pulling the top of the
Groomer toward you until it releases from
the holder (Fig. 15).
□ Press the release button (1) and push the
handle against the holder (2) to close the
back shaving attachment (Fig. 16).
Cleaning
I The Groomer should be cleaned after each use.
I Ahvays switch Groomer OFF and remove
power cord from charging stand and outlet
before cleaning.
I Do not use compressed air. abrasive
cleaning agents, scourers or aggresive liquids
such as gasoline, alcohol, benzene bleach or
acetone to clean the appliance.
I Never clean, remove or replace shaving head
assembly while motor is on.
I Do not apply pressure to shaving head. Do not
touch foil with hard objects as this may dent or
damage foil or cutters. If damage occurs, replace
damaged parts.
I Do not use Groomer if foil, cutters, trimmers
or combs are damped or broken as injury
may occur.
I Only use the cleaning brush supplied. Any other
brush may cause damage.
Cleaning the shaving unit

Always switch Groomer OFF, remove the
power cord from outlet and charging stand
before cleaning.
Q Remove any trimming comb from Groomer
(Fig-9).

Remove the shaving head by pulling it off
the appliance (Fig. 17).
Hold the shaving head by the plastic housing only.
□ Rinse the shaving head under warm running
tap water to rinse away debris (Fig. 18).

Place the new shaving head on the Groomer
by snapping it into place (Fig. 20). You will
hear a "click”.
After replacing the shaving head, check that
the shaving head is firmly attached before using
Groomer

Clean the hair chamber with the cleaning
brush. You may also rinse the hair chamber
under warm running cap water to remove any
residual debris (Fig. 19).

Do not use a towel or cloth to dry shaving
foil or cutters as this may cause damage: allow
to air dry thoroughly.

Reattach the shaving head by snapping it back
onto the Groomer (Fig. 20).

Rinse the Groomer body and back shaving
attachment under running warm tap water.
Wipe dry with a soft clean towel or cloth.
Replacing the Shaving Head
I If the shaving foil and cutters are worn or
damaged, do not continue using the Groomer.
Replace the shaving foil and cutters immediately.
I It is recommended that you replace your
shaving foil and cutters once a year.
IA worn or damaged shaving foil or cutters
should only be replaced with an original Philips
Norelco shaving head, model BG2000. which is
available on the Philips Norelco website.

Storage
I Be sure Groomer is turned off. Remove
power cord from oudet and charging stand
before scoring in a safe, dry location where it
will not be crushed, banged, or subject to
damage.
^ Do not wrap power cord around Groomer/
charging stand when storing.
I Score cord in a safe location where it will not
be cut or damaged.
I Do not place or score Groomer/charging stand
where it can fall or be pulled into a tub or sink,
water or ocher liquid while plugged in.
Battery Removal
I This Philips Norelco Groomer contains
a Lithium-Ion rechargeable battery
which must be disposed of properly (Fig. 21).
I Battery should only be removed when
Groomer is to be discarded.

□ Be certain Groomer is OFF and removed
from charging stand before dismanding.
Allow the Groomer to run until the batteries
are completely empty/depleced. Turn
Groomer OFF.

Insert a flathead screwdriver into the slot at
the bottom of the handle and turn it to
unlock the rear panel of the housing (Fig. 22).

Remove the rear panel of the housing and
then remove the side panels (Fig. 23).
□ Undo the screws that connect the inner
body of the appliance to the front panel of
the housing and separate the inner body
from the front panel (Fig 24).

Turn over the inner body.Then detach the
cover of the inner body with the control
panel from the inner body (Fig. 25).
□ Lift the printed-circuit board out of the inner
body, turn it over and cut the wires that
connea the battery to the power unit
(Fig. 26).

Do not attempt to replace batteries. Insulate
battery ends by covering with tape and/or
place battery in a small plastic bag.
□ Discard Groomer. Do not attempt to plug
elearical cord into the outlet or recharge
Groomer after the batteries have been
removed.
