Tips for cleaning your high flow filter element
1.
Remove existing air
cleaner cover, element with cover
mounting bracket and plastic
backing plate. Do not remove
the black head-to-head throttle
body support bracket.
Retain factory supplied cover with mounting
screw, cover mounting bracket, (2) each
breather bolts and breather hose assembly.

Apply a locking agent
such as Loctite 242 (blue) to the
original breather bolt threads,
place the screw through the
breather spacer and install the
(2) breather spacers, one on
each head, and tighten.
3.
Apply a locking agent
such as Loctite 242 (blue) to the
threads of the (3) stanchions;
position the backing plate in
position over the throttle body
with supplied gasket and start
the stanchion threads into the
throttle body. Tighten all (3)
stanchions to 85-90 inch pounds
in a sequence.
4.
Install original breather
hose assembly to breather bolt
nipples as shown.
5. Apply low strength
threadlocker such as blue Loctite®
to (3) Torx head screws provided
and install the filter element with
original cover mounting bracket
to stanchions. Apply threadlocker
to original cover mounting screw
and re-install factory cover.

which may never be used upon a highway.

Installation Instructions for
Zippers High Flow Air Cleaner

Gently shake off and brush away excess
dirt. Spray on Cleaning Solution so that
the filter is fully saturated, and let soak for
10 minutes. Rinse filter from the clean side
to the dirty side until water comes through.
Use only low pressure from a tap or hose.
Allow filter to dry. A fan may be used to
speed process. DO NOT use heated
air blowers, compressed air, or open
flame.
Make one careful application of Filter
Oil to each filter pleat.
Allow oil to seep into filter for 20 min-
utes. Re-oil any areas that still appear
dry. Do not over oil.
