GRANULE AND EMBER PLACEMENT
A. Spread granules (Part #16) over the installed burner pan. Granules
should be sloped to the same angle as the burner pan filling
the entire pan. (See Figure 4).
NOTE: The top two burners inside the burner pan should be
covered, leaving the bottom infrared burner, which is below
the grate, exposed.
B. Spread glowing embers (Part #17) evenly over the top of the
granules on the burner pan (See Figure 5).
C. There are two methods for spreading glowing embers over the
bottom infrared burner:
1. For maximum heat output, only cover the lower portion of
the burner as shown in figure 5.
2. For minimal heat output, cover the entire burner surface
with the glowing embers.
D. Spread any remaning granules on the fireplace floor either in f
ront of or on the sides of the burner assembly.
LOG PLACEMENT
A. Place long back log on back log ledge (step 1).
B. Place the two front logs on the front part of the grate (step 2).
C. Place top logs on unit, as shown in steps 4 and 5.
LIGHTING YOUR GAS LOG SET
(Manual valve only)
A. Open chimney flue damper to the full open position.
B. Be sure gas supply is shut off.
C. Lay match on top of granules.
Do not hold match in hand (See Figure 5).
D. With match burning, slowly turn on gas.
MAINTENANCE
Very little maintenance is required. The carbon deposit resulting from combustion is natural and adds to the realistic
appearance of the set. If carbon becomes excessive it can be lightly brushed or vacuumed away.
