Output Formats
The DW800/820 is capable of transmitting one of the following formats: Optional Printer
Output Format (See Printer Section), Computer Output Format, and Scoreboard Output
Format. A format may be transmitted either on demand or continuously (See Parameter
Setup). Motion is tested only when transmitting the Printer Output Format on demand.
Computer Output Format
If the Computer Output Format is to be used then the Output Format parameter must be set to
CMP (See Parameter Setup).
The Computer Output Format is as follows:

STX 1 ASCII Start of Text (02 Hex).
Mode 1 “G” if gross weight mode
1 “N” if net weight mode
1 “Q” if quantity (count) mode
Value 7 Displayed weight or quantity
Pad 1 ASCII Space (20 Hex)

“M” if scale is in motion
“0” if scale is in overload. ASCII Space (20 Hex) if scale is stable
“lb.” if in weight mode and unit is pounds. “kg” if in weight mode and unit is kilograms. “g” if in
weight mode and unit is grams, “pcs” if in count mode.
