Introduction
The MPEX4S952 4 Port RS232 Mini PCI Express Serial Card with 16550 UART and the
MPEX2S1P552 2S1P Mini PCI Express Serial Parallel Combo Card turns a mini-PCIe slot
into either four RS232 (DB9) serial ports or two RS232 (DB9) serial ports and one IEEE
1284 parallel port - cost-saving solutions for adding legacy serial/parallel support for
embedded systems that aren’t normally compatible.
A native PCI Express single chip design allows you to take advantage of full PCI Express
bus capability by providing improved speed and reliability while reducing the load
applied to the CPU by as much as 48% over conventional “bridge chip” serial cards .
