DO’S AND DON’T’S FOR ULTRASONIC CLEANERS SYSTEMS
DO
• Use the proper cleaning solution for the jobs. Take time in selecting the right
medium for all tasks.
• Use beakers and positioning covers or auxiliary pans for additional solutions.
• Rinse thoroughly after each cleaning application.
• Keep tank bottom free of silt and dirt accumulation.
• Rack or suspend articles to be cleaned away from tank bottom and sides.
DON’T
• Run machine without solution in the tank.
• Use plain water in the tank, unless absolutely imperative. Always add some
wetting agent.
• Use acidic or strong alkaline solutions directly in the stainless steel tank.
(Beakers).
• Allow skin contact with doubtful chemicals.
• Use wax and compound removers on plastic or acrylics.
• Allow surgical and dental instruments to remain in Tartar, Light Stain and
Permanent Cement Remover for more than two minutes to avoid discoloration.
• Place heavy items directly on the tank bottom.
SYMPTOM
PROBABLE CAUSE
• No activity in tank, indicating light off.
Defective power cord.
No power at mains supply outlet.
• No activity in the tank, indicating light on.
Blown fuse.
Component failure.
Faulty time switch.
• Weak cavitation.
Line voltage too slow.
Fluid is dirty.
Transducer problem.
Fluid not degassed.
Fluid too hot.
