Description
The THRU-25 has one MIDI Input and twenty-five MIDI Thru ports to enable you to
connect several MIDI devices to one MIDI output, without the usual problems
encountered when daisy-chaining MIDI devices.
The THRU-25 has an opto-coupled MIDI Input and separate drive circuits for each
MIDI Thru socket for optimum performance. The THRU-25 also incorporates active
circuitry to help restore the quality of signals received at the MIDI Input that may
have become degraded by losses in the MIDI cable.
The THRU-25 is powered by a plug-top switch-mode power adaptor (supplied), so it
doesn’t need periodic battery changes to keep it working, enabling you to “fit and
forget”.
Connecting
Ensure that the power adaptor is plugged in, and the ACTIVE LED on the THRU-25
is on. Connect the MIDI output of your keyboard or computer to the MIDI Input of the
THRU-25
and connect one or more of the MIDI Thru ports of the THRU-25 to the
MIDI inputs of the devices you want to control.
Do not connect any of the MIDI Thru ports of the THRU-25 back to the MIDI Input of
the device which is supplying data to the MIDI In port of the THRU-25, as this may
cause a MIDI loop to occur. This may cause note hangs or other undesirable effects.
The ACTIVE LED will show steady green when power is connected and no MIDI is
being received. It will flicker when MIDI data is being received at the MIDI Input.
