IV. Quick Reference Guide
1. Call Function
You can make and receive calls when the network
supplier’s icon is shown on the display screen.
This function has three interfaces: dial call, incoming
call and connecting call;
The message bar in the upper left corner of the
display screen shows network signal intensity.
The connection is greatly affected by obstructions;
therefore the signal intensity can be effectively
improved by moving to a new location.
Note:
In any country where a digital GSM network is being used, you
may have an emergency call service when you are within
the
covered network area (you can determine this by checking the
network signal intensity in the upper left corner of the mobile
phone display screen).
The display screen will show “SOS” indicating that you can make
just this kind of call if a roaming service has not been provided
by
your network supplier in this area.
You can make an emergency call even if you do not have a SIM
Card if you are within the covered network
area.
1.1 Making a Call
The dial process includes four phases: dial, call, automatic
DTMF and selective call ringing.
