Selecting a Tone
This keyboard comes with 100 built-in tones. Use
the following procedure to select the tone you want
to use.
To select a tone
1
Find the tone you want to use in the tone
list and note its tone number.
• Not all of the available tones are shown on
the tone list printed on the keyboard
console. For a complete list, see the “Tone
List” on page A-1.
2
Press the TONE button.
3
Use the number buttons to input the two
digit tone number for the tone you want to
select.
Example: To select “26 WOOD BASS”, input
2 and then 6 .
• Now notes played on the keyboard will be
played using an acoustical wood bass
sound.
NOTE
• Always input both digits for the tone number,
including a leading zero (if any). If you input
one digit and stop, the display will
automatically clear your input after a few
seconds.
• You can also increment the displayed tone
number by pressing [+] and decrement it by
pressing [–].
• Sound effect tones such as 77 VEHICLE
sound best when you keep a keyboard key
depressed.
