Voicemail waiting (visual message waiting) indicator
If you subscribe to a voicemail service offered by your telephone service provider, this
feature provides a visual indication when you have new voicemail messages. New voice-
mail and

appear on the handset screen.

Clear voicemail indication

Use this feature when the telephone indicates there is new voicemail but there is none.
This may occur, for example, when you have accessed your voicemail while away from
home. This feature only turns off the displayed
New voicemail message and

icon; it does not delete your voicemail messages. As

long as you have new voicemail messages, your telephone service provider continues to
send the signal to turn on the indicator.

To manually turn off the new voicemail indicator

1. In idle mode, press

, then to select Settings.
2. Press , then to select Clr voicemail.
3. Press . The screen shows Turn off indicator?
4. Press to turn the voicemail indication off. A confirmation

tone sounds.

5. Press to cancel the procedure.

Set the Date and Time
You will need to set the correct time and date so that you know when you received call
list entries.
1. Press

, then to select Settings.
2. Press , then to select Set date / time.
3. Press , then to select Date & time.
4. Press , then use the keypad to enter the date ( MM/DD/YY).
5. Press , then use the keypad to enter the time (HH:MM).

Press OR to choose AM or PM.

6. Press

to confirm.
