Batteries

• Insert two alkaline batteries as indicated, type R6,

UMSorAA.

• Remove the batteries if they are exhausted or if

, they are not to be used for a long time.

Mains adaptor

• Connect a mains adaptor to the 3V DC socket.

■'. r • The adaptor must supply 3V DC €>-©-®,

{r minuspole © to the 1.3 mm centre pin of the

3.4 mm socket.

RADIO RECEPTION________________________

• Set TAPE/RADIO to RADIO.

• Co.nnect the headphones to 0.

• Set AM/FM/FM ST to AM (=MW), FM, (mono) or

'V,, to FM ST (stereo)

. » T u n e to the desired radio station using TUNING.

- -The headphone lead will function as FM-aerial.

: •• If AM/FM/FM ST is set to FM ST, FM programmes

are heard in stereo and the FM ST-iHndicator

lights up.

.'- Disturbing noise, due to weak FM stereo signal

can be suppressed by setting AM/FM/FM ST to

FM (mono). The FM ST indicator disappears and

you will hear FM programmes in mono.

• Adjust the sound with VOLUME and DBB (bass).

• The set is switched off when TAPE/RADIO is in

position TAPE and no cassette player button is

pressed.

PLAYING BACK CASSETTES________________

• Set TAPE/RADIO to TAPE.
• Connect the headphones to O.
• Open the cassette holder and insert a cassette

with the open part facing the buttons and the full

reel on your right.

• Set METAL-Cr02/N0RMAL selector to;

- METAL-CrOs for CHROME (lEC II) or METAL (lEC

IV) cassettes.

-NORMAL for NORMAL (lEC I) cassettes

• To start playback, press ◄.
• Adjust the sound with VOLUME and DBB (bass).

• To stop, press ■ and the set is switched off.

-At the end of the tape the ◄ button is

automatically released and the set is switched off.

• Fast Winding: Press « or ►>.Press ■ to stop fast

winding and when the tape has reached its end.
