RADIO

Radio reception

• Set the TAPE/CD/RADIO selector 6 to

RADIO. The POWER, indicator 5 lights up.

• Adjust the sound with the controls

VOLUME 4, and TONE 7.

• Select the wave band using BAND

selector 11.

•Tune to a radio station using TUNING knob 9.

(LWnot on all versions)

-For FM, pull out the telescopic aerial. To

improve FM-reception, incline and turn the

aerial. Reduce its length if the FM-signal is

too strong (very close to a transmitter).

-For AM/MW and LW (Medium and Long

Wave), the set is provided with a built-in
aerial, so there is no need to use the
telescopic aerial. The aerial can be directed

by turning the whole set.

•When BAND selector 11 is in position FM

and the FM STEREO 10 indicator lights up,

you are receiving a FM-stereo transmitter.
A disturbing noise, due to a weak FM-stereo

signal, can be suppressed by setting the

FM-MODE selector 1 to MONO.

The FM STEREO 10 indicator will then go out

and you will hear (and record) the FM

programme in mono.

•To switch off the set, place TAPE/CD/RADIO

selector 6 to TAPE.

CD PLAYER

Playing a disc

• Set TAPE/CD/RADIO selector 6 to CD.

The POWER, indicator 5 lights up.

• Press CD OPEN to open the disc cover.

• Insert the disc, printed side facing the window.

• Close the cover. The CD-player starts and the

number of tracks present on the disc appears

on the display 3 and the CD-player stops.

• Adjust the sound with the controls

VOLUME 4, and TONE 7.

• Playback will start by pressing

PLAY/PAUSE

8. As soon as playback

starts, the display shows the track number 1

(1 st title). When the 2 nd title is reached,

the track number 2 appears, etc.

• For brief interruptions, press PLAY/PAUSE

'PAUSE' lights up in the display:

To continue playback, press

PLAY/PAUSE

8 again.

• To stop playback, press STOP ■ 8.

The CD-player also goes to position STOP:

-If the CD-player reaches the end of the disc;
-If you press OPEN;

-If you move the TAPE/CD/RADIO selector 5;

- If the batteries get exhausted or if the power

supply is interrupted in another way.

• To take out the disc, open the disc cover by

pressing OPEN. Press OPEN only if the CD-
player is in position STOP.

• To switch off the set, place TAPE/CD/RADIO

selector 6 to TAPE.

Go to the next »i or previous h*< title

The SKIP and buttons 8 are operative

during PLAY.

SKIP

- go to the next track (title)

During playback, you can jump to the next title

by pressing SKIP 8 once. If you want to skip

more than one track, then press SKIP more

than once until the display 3 shows the desired
track number.

SKIP - go to the previous track (title)

During playback, you can jump to the previous

title by pressing SKIP r« 8 twice. If you-want to

skip more than one track, then press SKIP

more than once until the display 3 shows the

desired track number.

SEARCH (during PLAY)

• Keep SEARCH ►► (forward) or SEARCH ◄◄

(backward) pressed. The disc is then played

at high speed, however, the sound is still

recognizable.

•When releasing the button, the disc is played

in the normal way from this passage.
