Installation Guide:
Introduction:
There are 2 installation options for the Galaxy:
•
Pole mount and Wall Mount and this guide will address both types of mounting methods
.
Required Tools:
1. Two sets of metric wrenches to tighten nuts on the pole mounting fixture and for setting the tilt angle.
2. Rope with hooks at both ends so the fixture can be hung while making power connections.
3. Line tester to test the input line voltage.
4. Optional tilt angle measurement device.
Pole mounting on a light pole with an arm
The mounting process of a Galaxy is quite simple and once the pole is free from any existing fixture and the
bucket truck is in place the approximate time required to perform the installation is less than 20 minutes. Optional
mounting kit can be purchased from GreenStar.
Step 1 à The first and most important step is to determine the line voltage.
Measure the voltage between the all the input wires, identify and make a note of the color of the phase, neutral
and ground wires.
Make sure your fixture is rated for the supply line voltage i.e. 85VAC to 285VAC or 360VAC to 510VAC. If there
are only two wires then make sure the fixture is properly grounded.
Step 2 à Attach the pole mounting component to the main fixture using the set of fasteners prior to attempting to
mount the fixture to the pole as shown below.
