PROPER DISPOSAL OF THE FREEZER

When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should be followed, including the following:

CJiild entrapment and suffocation are not
problems of the jrast. Junked or abandoned
refiigeratoi’s and ffeezer's are still dangerous...even
if they will sit for “just a few' days." If you are getting
rid of your old refrigerator or fieezei; please follow'
the instructions below' to lielp prevent accidents.

Before You Throw Away Your Old
Refrigerator or Freezer:

Refrigerants

.All refrigeration products contain refrigerants,
w'hich under federal law' must be l emoved prior to
product disposal. If you are getting rid of an old

refrigeration product, check with the company
handling the disposal about what to do.

USE OF EXTENSION CORDS

Because of potential safety hazards under certain conditions, we strongly recommend against
die use of an extension cord.

How'ever, if you must tise an extension cord, it is absolutely necessaiy that it be a UL.-listed (in the United
States) or a CSA-listed (in Canada) , 3-wire grounding t)pe appliance extension cord having a grounding
ripe plug and outlet and that the electrical rating of the cord be 15 amjreres (minimum) and 120 volts.
