Troubleshooting
Performance problems often result from little things you can find and fix without tools of any
kind. Please check the chart below for problems you can fix. It could save you the cost of a
sen/ice call.
PROBLEM
POSSIBLE CAUSE
Unit will not run
• Is the dehumidifier plugged into a live circuit with the proper
voltage? Firmly plug power cord into electrical outlet. (If the
dehumidifier still does not operate, have a qualified electrician
check the circuit voltage at the fuse/circuit breaker box.)
• Is the Humidistat Control set to a position other than OFF?
Try a dryer setting.
• Has a household fuse blown or circuit breaker tripped? Use
the correct time-delay fuses. Reset circuit breaker.
• Is room temperature below 65°F (18.3°C)? Coils will become
iced over at low temperatures.
