Temperature Control

You can control the inside temperature of the
refrigerator by turning the thermostat dial. Smaller
numbers mean less cooling power. To make ice

cubes in a hurry or to keep ice cream frozen in the

freezer compartment, set the dial for 7. The dial does

not have to be set exactly on the numbers. The
thermostat does not operate in stages but continously
(see fig. 7).

A good refrigerator performance depends on an
adequate internal temperature according to the
toltowing table:

What to do in case
of refrigeration malfunction

. The refrigerator will not cool - the cause may be:

a) no power supply or burned-out fuse. Check the

power outlet with a lamp. Change it if damaged.

b) check whether the temperature control is in the

OFF ' setting.

2. The refrigeration is insufficient - the cause may

be:

a) temperature control button in the wrong setting;

see "Temperature Control".

b) cold air circulation prevented by loo much (ood

in the refrigerator.

c) frequent door opening.

Note: In such cases, the inner walls may

"sweat" - water drops are formed on them

3. Noisy refrigerator operation may result from:

a) faulty leveling - follow this riianual's leveling

instructions.

b) compressor touching wail - pull refrigerator away

from wall.

c) pipes contacting each other or the cabinet

separate them.

4 Refrigerator dampness may be caused by;

a) too high relative dampness of the air.

b) faulty sealing of the door, check rubber gasket

and refrigerator leveling.
