12. Place the new belt over the transmission pulley. Start
the belt in the pulley groove and rotate the pulley until
the belt is seated in transmission pulley.
13. Place the belt between the idler pulley and the belt
keeper bracket.
14. Using pliers, rotate the belt keeper bracket so that it
snaps into slot on the idler bracket.
15. Tighten the idler pulley bolt and lock nut half a turn.
16. Place the belt between the two pulley halves on the
crankshaft. Make sure to route the belt inside the belt
guard pin. See Figure 5-10.
17. Pinch both sides of the belt together so that the belt is
not in the pulley groove, and the lower pulley can be
pushed towards the engine. See Figure 5-11.
18. Pivot the control arm back to its original position and
reinstall six-speed cable into the slot. See Figure 5-12.
19. Make sure the belt is routed inside the pulley halves
and the belt guard pin.
20. Reinstall the bolt securing transmission to rear mower
housing.
21. Return the baffle back to its original position and
secure with three hex screws removed earlier.
22. Lightly lubricate the inside of the blade adapter and
reinstall the blade adapter, blade, and blade bell
support in the correct order.
23. Tighten the hex bolt to secure the blade to torque:
450-600 in. lbs.
