MG Rover Wind Turbine Assembly and Maintenance
Instructions
The MG Rover Wind Turbine comes partially assembled. The generator head, yaw bushings and
blade mounting hub are pre-‐attached to the yaw mount at the factory.
Section 1.0: Fasten Directional Tail to Yaw Mount

Step 1:
Locate the fastener bag labeled “Tail Assembly Fastener Set”. There are 7 stainless
steel bolts, 7 stainless steel k-‐lock nuts and 14 stainless steel washers. Slide one stainless steel
washer onto each stainless steel bolt. Attach the directional tail to the yaw mount using the 7
stainless steel bolts with stainless steel washers. See Figure 1 above.
Step
2:
Place the 7 remaining stainless steel washers onto the 7 stainless steel bolts that are
securing the Directional Tail to the Yaw Mount. Next, attach the 7 stainless steel k-‐lock nuts
and tighten to securely fasten the Directional Tail and Yaw Mount (Note, the remaining 7
stainless steel washers and the 7 k-‐lock nuts attach to the side of the directional tail that is not
shown in the Figure 1.) See Figure 1 above.
