4.7 F USING Y OUR S YSTEM
It is necessary to add fuses or circuit breakers to the Complete Off-Grid Solar Panel Kits. While the systems will
function without fuses or circuit breakers, fusing protects the system from accidental short circuits, power
surges, and accidental incorrect wiring. An ATC fuse can be used (available at auto parts stores) or a circuit
breaker can be purchased at most hardware stores. The table below shows the recommended fuse/breaker size
for each system based on 12 or 24 volt configurations.

4.8 G ROUNDING
Although not required for low voltage, the panel can be grounded by connecting a conductive wire the frame.
