Problem Remedy
The unit does not work. oCheck the setting up (p. 6-9).
oCheck power source.
During message playback or
monitoring a call no sounds
are heard.
oAdjust the VOLUME selector.
You can not record a
greeting message. oConnect ONLY Panasonic AC
ADAPTOR KX-A17.
No sounds (announcement,
beep, etc.) are heard from
the unit.
3 short beeps are heard
when operating the unit. oThe unit rejected your code or
operation. Try again.
The answering function is on,
but no messages are
recorded.
o Record the greeting message
(p. 8, 24).
o Memory is full. Erase some or all of the
messages (p. 16).
You cannot erase all of the
messages and ''New
messaged is heard.
o Listen to all of the messages and
day/time stamps and try again.
When you lift the handset of
the branch telephone after
the unit answers a call, the
greeting does not stop. O Press fALL MESSAGE/STOP), then you
can answer a call (p. 15).
The unit stops working
during operation. oUnplug the AC adaptor to reset.
Plug in then try again.
