NETWORK CONFIGURATION (STATIC IP)
We recommend that you reserve an IP address on your router so that when you boot up the MS-
1 it always receives the same IP address from the DHCP server running on your router. Consult
your router documentation for the details on how to do this.
If your router does not have a list of the MAC addresses for the devices on your network you can
determine your MS-1's MAC address by doing the following:
1. Run “cmd” to bring up a command prompt in Windows or in Mac OS X bring up a Terminal
window (Applications → Utilities → Terminal)
 Ping your MS-1 using the IP address you use to access the MS-1 on your local
network. In our case we used http://192.168.0.195:4040 so our IP address
is 192.168.0.195.
A) In Windows the ping command would be: ping -n 1 192.168.0.195
B) In Mac OS X the ping command would be: ping -c 1 192.168.0.195
 Next run the command:
arp –a
The Physical Address (MAC Address) for the MS-1 will be listed next to the MS-1's IP
address.
Windows format:
00-01-2e-27-34-cc
Mac format: 0:1:2e:27:34:cc
