Power requirements
Both dialer and RRS can be simultaneously powered by a single AC-2P with the PP-1 as backup. Because of increased
current consumption, depending on the number of relays energized at the same time, battery standby can vary between 6
and 12 hours.
CAUTION: Observe Contact ratings
DPDT relay contacts are internally connected in parallel to double the maximum load capacity to 24VDC/2.5A,
resistive load, but not exceeding 48VDC at 2A. Loads beyond these ratings can cause irreparable damage to the
RRS relay circuits and external devices to be controlled. If heavier load switching is required, interfacing with ex-
ternal power relays and/or high voltage solid-state switching devices should be considered.
Wiring
Rear view below shows relay circuit cables pulled through the rectangular access opening on the back, ready for hookup
to external equipment. Take note of the striped markings (1 through 4) on individual relay circuit cable pairs. Use standard
wire nuts (i.e. AWG 22-16) or other certified means to isolate and firmly connect to external devices. It’s strongly rec-
ommended to adequately fuse each connected relay circuit with ratings not exceeding 5A.
