Boarding the tractor
use both hands and equipped handrails and steps for support when boarding the tractor. never use
control levers for support when mounting the tractor. Seat yourself in the operator’s seat and secure
the seat belt around you.
never allow passengers to ride on the tractor or attached equipment. Riders can
easily fall off and be seriously injured or killed from falling off and being run over. It
is the operator’s responsibility to forbid all extra riders at all times.
never allow children to operate, ride on, or come close to the tractor or
Implement.
never allow children or other persons to ride on the tractor or Implement. Falling
off can result in serious injury or death.
dismounting the tractor
Before dismounting, park the tractor and implement on a reasonably level surface, apply the parking
brake, idle the engine down, disengage the PtO, and lower the implement to the ground. Shut down
the tractor engine according to the operator’s manual, remove the key, and wait for all motion to
completely stop. never leave the seat until the tractor, its engine and all moving parts have come to
a complete stop.
use hand rails and steps when exiting the tractor. Be careful of your step and use extra caution when
mud, ice, snow or other matter has accumulated on the steps or hand rails. use all handrails and
steps for support and never rush or jump off the tractor.
BeFORe leaving the tractor seat, always engage the brake and/or set the tractor
transmission in parking gear, disengage the PtO, stop the engine, remove the key,
and wait for all moving parts to stop. place the tractor shift lever into a low range
or parking gear to prevent the tractor from rolling. never dismount a tractor that
is moving or while the engine is running. Operate the Tractor controls from the
tractor seat only.

tractor and Implement, and are physically large enough to reach and operate the controls
easily.
