4 Detailed System Description
4.1 DOS 1000 Ethernet LAN 82574L
Required programs and drivers are located in the directory \DRIVERS\MSM4E104ex\MSDOS.
Create a directory C:\LAN1000 on your hard disk.
Copy the programs and drivers of \DRIVERS\MSM4E104ex\MSDOS onto your HD.

Test the transfer with HDTEST using a disk drive on your server!
4.1.1 EEPROM Update
Attention: Do not use this function, if the EEPROM is not corrupted.
To download the data in the EEPROM, use the following steps:
» Copy the folder "x:\ DRIVERS\MSM4E104ex\EEPROM" to a floppy disk.
» Start MSDOS
» Type the following string:
Load data into EEPROM. Load with the command:
" EEUPDATE –NIC=x –MAC=y –d z "
x = LAN interface to program
y = MAC address
z = EEPROM map file (82573L.EEP for MSM4E104ex)
The EEPROM is now updated again.
