Remove the two (2) rear most button head screws on diamond plate on the
front section of the trailer. The two nuts and bolts will not be reused.
Install the auxiliary Ramp Strap bracket with the supplied hardware as
illustrated below. Firmly tighten hardware.
Rear Section
With the previously removed rear folding section on a flat surface, remove the
aluminum diamond plate from the old rear section. After removing the diamond
plate, remove the center swivel caster from the old rear section. Keep all the
hardware as you will be using it to install these pieces on the new ride-up rear
section.
Install the center swivel caster on the new ride-up rear section using the
hardware from the old rear section and tighten nuts and bolts to approximately
130 inch pounds.
Install the aluminum diamond plate on the new ride-up rear section using the
hardware from the old rear section and tighten to approximately 160 inch
pounds (attaching the hardware finger tight at first and aligning the diamond
plate for straightness prior to fully tightening all hardware is recommended).
Gently lay the new ride-up rear section in the closed position onto the front
section (two people are recommended for this step). Align the hinges and
install the new ride-up rear section on your trailer using the previously removed
shoulder bolts, nuts and washers in the identical order they were originally
installed before you removed your old rear section. Refer to the diagram below
for proper order of hardware to attach the rear section to the trailer. (Two
people are recommended for this step)
