3. Place the disc stem on the drive shaft in the middle of the bowl
(picture A). The long shaft of the disc stem has to slide over the
drive shaft and the end with the aglet should face upright. If
necessary turn the disc stem a little to fit in position. The disc stem
sticks out of the bowl for 1 or 2 cm.
4. Put the slicing and shredding disc on top of the disc stem turning
the disc until the hexagonal nut of the disc fits on the hexagon bolt of
the disc stem (picture B).
• For shredding: The side of the disc with the convex blade has to be up.
• For slicing: The side of the disc with the blade has to be up.
IMPORTANT: There are two different slicing and shredding discs.
For thinner slices and shreds use the disc with the finer openings
(picture C-1) and for thicker slices and shreds use the one with the
bigger openings (picture C-2).
5. Attach the lid to the bowl (picture D). The feed chute can be
facing either ways: the front with the control panel or the opposite
side. Turn the lid anticlockwise until it is securely locked and in position.
IMPORTANT: The humps of the rim of the lid should align with
the small plastic wings on the bowl. Lower into position. The lid has
to be securely locked.
.
NOTE: The appliance will not turn ‘ON` unless properly assembled.
6. Prepare your food and fill it in the container. If necessary cut
the food in proper size to fit through the feed chute (see ´Tips for preparing the food`).
7. Feed the food into the feed chute and cover the feed chute with the food pusher on top.
WARNING: Do not push products into the feed chute with your fingers or foreign
objects. Always use the food pusher provided. While proceeding do not push the food
pusher too hard down.
8. Connect the power plug to a suitable wall power outlet.
9. Start the appliance pressing the ´ON` button. The motor starts working, the food is
getting processed and gathered at the base of the bowl. While proceeding do not
push the food pusher too hard down to avoid overloading the motor. If the motor stalls or
stucks during operation or if the fibre of the food blocks the blade, immediately turn
´OFF` the appliance and unplug the power connector. Check whether there is any
obstruction in the container, and remove it (see ‘Care and Cleaning`).
ATTENTION: Do not use the appliance in continuous operation for more than 3 minutes
to avoid overheating. If processing large quantities of food, regularly interrupt operation
and unplug the appliance for at least 1 minute, to let the motor cool down.
10. You can continue to fill the feed chute as soon as the feed chute is empty.
