• Possibly, the food sticks to the walls of the container. In this case, unplug the appli-

ance and slide back the food to the middle of the container using a plastic or wooden

spoon. Under no circumstances use your fingers!

• Prefer short processing times; otherwise the food will become gooey.

CAre AnD CleAnIng

WArnIng: To avoid injuries to persons and damage, always release the on/off button,

wait for the motor to stop completely and unplug the appliance, immediately after operation

and before assembling/disassembling or cleaning the appliance.
The blades of the knife insert are very sharp! Do not touch the blades. To handle the knife

insert, always hold on to the shaft.
CAuTIOn: Do not place the motor housing in an automatic dishwasher. Do

not immerse the motor or power cord in any liquids or spill any liquids on

it or place the motor on wet surfaces. Always wipe off spilled liquids immediately.
Do not use abrasive cleaners, cleaning pads, corrosive chemicals (disinfectants, bleach) or

any sharp or hard objects (i.e. metal scouring pads) for cleaning, for this could damage the

surfaces. Always handle the entire appliance with care and without violence.
Soak stubborn residues on the container, chopping lid or knife insert in warm dish-water

for ca. 10 minutes and then remove the residues with a nylon washing brush or sponge.

Release the on/off button, wait for the motor to stop completely, and unplug the appli-

ance from the power outlet.

Remove the motor and chopping lid, then grasp the shaft of the knife insert and pull out

the knife insert carefully.
3. Empty the container, using a plastic or wooden spoon or a rubber spatula. To avoid

damage, do not scratch or scrape off the residues.
CAuTIOn: The container is made of glass. Do not pour boiling water in the cold container

or immerse the cold container in boiling liquids. Always handle the container with care to

avoid cracks.

Clean the container, knife insert and chopping lid in warm dish-water using a nylon brush

or soft sponge. The cleaning water should be very clear; so that you can see the blades

when washing the knife insert. Ensure, not to touch the blades with your hands.
Soak stubborn residues in warm dish-water for ca. 10 minutes, before cleaning.
Intensely coloured food and ingredients (i.e. carrots, paprika and curry) could cause dis-

coloration of the plastic parts. Possibly, you can avoid persisting discoloration by wiping

the plastic parts with a little vegetable oil before cleaning. Additionally, due to processing

hard, rubbing food the container could become dull in the course of time. This is normal

and does not interfere with its functionality.
