• To check the doneness during the toasting process, just lift the on/off handle to the HIGH
LIFT position for a moment and, then lower the handle to the LIFT & LOOK position again; this
will not interrupt the toasting process.
• The LED display of the appliance stays lit up until the power cord is removed from the power
outlet.
• It is recommended to empty the crumb tray after each use to avoid crumbs becoming
charred and sticking on the crumb tray (see: ›Care and Cleaning‹). Do not use the toaster
without the crumb tray in place.
• If one of the function buttons (DEFROST, REHEAT, or Single-Side Toasting) was pressed,
the toaster switches back to normal operation automatically after the function program has
finished.
The DefrOsT function
The DEFROST function enhances the toasting time for toasting frozen bread.
1.
Insert the frozen bread slices in the slots and select the desired browning.
2. Carefully press down the on/off handle until it engages in the LIFT & LOOK position.
3.
Press the DEFROST button. The power indicator of the button illuminates.
The reHeaT function
The REHEAT function shortens the toasting time for crisping up toast.

Insert the bread slices in the slots.

Carefully press down the on/off handle until it engages in the LIFT & LOOK position.

Press the REHEAT button. The power indicator of the button illuminates.
The sIngle-sIDe TOasTIng function
The Single-Side Toasting function activates additional heating power for the heating elements
in the centre strip. Use the Single-Side Toasting function for crisping up halved rolls, with the
soft inner side of the sliced rolls facing to the centre strip of the toaster.
1. Use a sharp knife to cut the rolls in halves and remove crumbs.
Important: ensure, that the halves are up to a maximum of 3 cm thick; otherwise the rolls
could stick in the slots.
2. Insert the halved rolls in the slots.
Important: The soft inner side of the rolls must face to the centre strip of the toaster.
3.
Carefully press down the on/off handle until it engages in the LIFT & LOOK position.
4.
Press the Single-Side Toasting button. The power indicator of the button illuminates.
