If the amount of scale deposited becomes excessive, it may not be possible to remove it by normal descaling
methods. The warranty does not cover breakdown caused by scaling or maintenance carried out incorrectly.
Never touch the vibration membrane with hands or tools, and only use the brush supplied as an accessory to
clean it.
• Never use household scale remover or other caustic cleaning agents to clean the water holder or membrane.
If scale is present, rinse the water holder (10) with a solution made up of half tap water and half household
vinegar. (The household vinegar should have an acetic acid concentration of 20%). Leave the solution to soak
in the holder for half an hour. Take care not to let the vinegar-water solution get inside the appliance to the
electrical components. Do not let the descaling solution remain in the holder for longer than half an hour;
doing so could result in damage to the sealings. After descaling, rinse the water holder with clean water to
remove all traces of vinegar. If, after cleaning, the appliance is to be put into storage, let the water holder dry.
If the humidifier is going to be used soon, drying is not required.
• The removable water tank can be washed with hot liquid detergent. If scaling is present in the mist chamber,
rinse it with the above-mentioned vinegar solution. After cleaning, rinse the tank with water and dry it
completely.
Never use a solvent such as acetone, benzene, gasoline or alcohol, to clean the appliance. Such
solvents may dissolve the casing or get inside the humidifier, damaging the inner parts. Do not use
rough or abrasive cleaning agents.
• Before using the appliance again, let the outer casing become fully dry.
• If, after cleaning, the appliance will not be used for a long period of time, put it into a nylon bag and store it in
a place that is dust, humidity and frost free.
