USING OF APPLIANCE

Before use

Unpack the appliance and remove all the packing materials.

Inspect the appliance and the accessories carefully to verify their soundness and undamaged condition. Only
perfectly sound and damage-free appliances may be connected to the electrical mains.

Never leave the nylon packing bag, which is part of the package, within the reach of children who could play
with it.

After checking that the heater is fit for operation, place it on a horizontal, stable surface where you wish to
use it. Don’t forget to place a heat resistant plate under the product before applying power, and take care
that no inflammable material is near to the device’s air outlet and inlet openings, and there is no object,
furniture or wall surface within the proscribed safety distance. Please always observe the stipulations of the
section “Important safety information” when positioning the device to avoid causing fire and accident risks.

After setting up the appliance in a safe place, plug the mains cable into the wall socket (or an appropriate
extension socket).

Choosing the individual modes of operation

The device can be used without its heating function as a ventilator for moving air. To do this, move the operation
mode changing switch from “0” into “ ” position, then turn the temperature setting dial clockwise towards its
end position until the ventilator starts rotating. The device’s ON status is shown by the red operation indicator
light.

If you wish to use the device for heating then please set the operation mode changing switch to its “I” or “II”
position, then turn the temperature setting dial clockwise towards its end position, as required.

With the operating mode changing switch in position “I” the device’s heat output is 750 W; in position “II” its
heat output is 1500 W.

To switch off the device, turn the operating mode changing switch to the “0” position, then withdraw the
mains connector from the wall socket or extension. Never disconnect the device in this way during operation.

Use of the room thermostat

The premise’s room temperature can be continuously controlled using the temperature setting dial.

Switch the device into heating operation mode, with the selection switch in ‘I’ or “II” position.

Turn the temperature setting dial clockwise from its minimum position to its maximum position. The device
will then switch on and begin heating the room.

When the room temperature has reached its desired level, turn back the temperature setting dial for your
optimum level of comfort. The device will then temporarily switch off, although some of its structural parts
willl remain connected to the live voltage supply.

Make sure the heater is not likely to fall or to be knocked over when switched on because this could cause a
fire.

The device can only be operated as a floor-standing unit; it must not be mounted on walls or ceilings. Using
the device in vehicles is not permitted.

Keep the mains cable away from sharp or hot objects. Keep the cable away from the protective grill and the
hot air at the front of the heater. Never use the mains cable to pull or lift the heater.

Warning! This heater is not designed for wet conditions. Never use the heater in a bathroom or in a kitchen.
Never use it near a basin, in a place that becomes wet or in an area with high relative humidity.

The protective cover heats up during use; take care not to touch it.

Before moving the heater, unplug it from the mains and wait until it has cooled down completely.

Should the device capsize during use for any reason, the anti-capsize switch at the bottom of the cover will
automatically switch it off, thus preventing the risk of fire. It should be ensured during positioning of the
device that the switch is free to close, because the device can only be operated this way.

Please keep this instruction manual. If you give the appliance to anyone else, you must give them
this instruction manual, too!
