NOTES

Please read the instruction manual thoroughly before using your new appliance. It is important to keep these
instructions as a useful reminder that’ll help you enjoy the many features available. The manufacturer is not
responsible if the appliance becomes damaged or defective as a result of the user not following the information
included in the instruction manual. If the appliance becomes faulty during regular use, it should only be repaired
by an authorised service engineer.

IMPORTANT SAFETY INFORMATION

The following safety instructions must be followed when using the appliance.
Please read this section very carefully!

Of course, it’s not possible for us to anticipate or provide safety rules for every specific situation, so we ask you to
apply commonsense precautions when using the appliance in a situation that isn’t described below.

This appliance is designed to be used at home or in a small office. It is not suitable for any other use, including
commercial and catering applications.

Never use the appliance outdoors.

Warning! Never leave your home - even for a short time - with the appliance turned
on (connected to the mains)!
When the appliance is no longer in use always turn it off and then remove the electric
cable from the socket of the power supply (mains) or the extension cable.

The appliance must not be placed directly below a mains socket. It must not be used
with any kind of additional timer switch because this could cause a fire if the appliance
was covered or moved to an unsuitable place.

Warning: the appliance must never be covered when it is connected to the mains,
even if the connection is switched off. Blocking the flow of air may cause overheating
and a risk of fire. Never dry any clothes or other fabrics on the appliance.

Children should not use the appliance. It should be stored where children cannot reach it and should only be
used when children are not nearby. Please pay extra attention if you use the appliance in the presence of
young, elderly or handicapped people. You should should warn such people about the risk of accidents when
you are using the appliance.

Only use the appliance on a stable, level surface. Keep it away from water and make sure it cannot
accidentally slip or fall. If the appliance comes into contact with any kind of moisture or liquid during use,
immediately unplug it from the mains. Do not touch it or attempt to take it out of the liquid until the mains
plug has been removed from the socket. You must not use the appliance again before having it checked and
repaired by a specialist engineer.

Important! Some parts of this appliance become very hot during use. Do not touch any
part of the oven when it is switched on or is cooling down (except for the controls and
the door handle).

The appliance should only be used when it has been placed on an appropriate heat-
resistant surface. Never use the appliance on a surface that isn’t heat resistant (e.g. do
not use it on cloth, carpet or an unprotected wooden shelf). Flammable or combustible
material, such as curtains, fabric or paper, must not be kept near the appliance.

Never use an appliance or accessory that the manufacturer did not supply with or propose for use with the
appliance. The use of such appliances might lead to accidents or irregular function.

Don't put the appliance near hot objects (e.g. oven, hob, heating appliance etc.) or on any hot surface.

Don’t place the appliance anywhere it could slide down, fall or be knocked off accidentally.

Don't use the appliance in the presence of explosive or inflammable gases, vapours or liquids.

The use of the appliance must be avoided in areas where the temperature is too high or too low or where the
appliance is subject to vibrations. Avoid using the appliance under wet or vaporous conditions. The appliance
can be used within the temperature range of +10°C to +35°C and stored within the range of +5°C to +40°C.

Do not allow anything to fall into the appliance and do not push anything into the opening of the appliance
as the appliance could be damaged and could cause electrical shock.

Always take care to avoid straining the electric cable, never drag or lift the appliance by the power cable as it
could be torn off or damaged. For the same reason prevent the power cable from getting under the feet of
chairs or other furniture.

Important: Always maintain a safe distance between the appliance and other items in
a room. You should ensure there is at least one metre between the appliance and any
object or wall surface in the room. Curtains, paper or any other combustible material
must never be allowed above the appliance (even if they are more than one metre
away).

Make sure any pets are kept away from the appliance when it is connected to the mains. When you use the
appliance, make sure any heat or hot air from the appliance cannot come into direct contact with animals,
terrariums, aquariums or plants.

Do not use the appliance in a narrow, enclosed space (e.g. on the shelf of a fitted kitchen). Always ensure
there is adequate ventilation when using the appliance. The ventilation slots on the appliance must never be
blocked when the appliance is being used.
