POWER SUPPLY
The appliance must only be connected to mains electricity of 230V and 50Hz. Always ensure the
mains voltage where you’re using the appliance corresponds to the value shown on the nameplate
of the appliance.
USE OF THE DEVICE
•
Unpack the appliance and remove all the packing materials.
Carefully check the appliance to ensure it is complete and undamaged. You should only use the
appliance if it is complete and has not suffered any damage.
•
Before using the appliance for the first time, or after a prolonged period of storage, thoroughly clean the
parts of the appliance (especially the coffee chamber and blade) which could come into contact with the food
to be ground, in order to get rid of any dust or other possible deposits. (Clean according to the instructions in
the section "Cleaning and maintenance of the appliance".
Using the appliance
1. Before you begin to use the grinder, put it on a stable, flat surface. Make sure that nothing blocks the
ventilation of the appliance during use. So, do not put anything under the appliance that could hinder the
ventilation (table cloth, paper, etc).
2. Remove the lid from the grinder. Then fill the chamber with the substance you want to grind. The appliance is
suitable for grinding coffee, almonds, hazelnuts, walnuts, biscuits and sugar. Fill the chamber, at most, up to
the rim of the inner metal part (this corresponds to 30g of coffee beans, or 70g of sugar). If you want to grind
more than this amount, do this in several batches, bearing in mind the instructions on operation/pause.
3. Put the lid back onto the grinder, ensuring that it's on properly. The grinder only runs when the lid is over the
chamber in the correct position. The correct position is when the small rod on the underside of the safety
switch on the lid makes contact with the concealed safety switch which is sunk into the appliance casing.
4. Whilst running the grinder, press down continuously and evenly on the lid and the safety switch. Grind the
contents to the required texture.
5. Once you've finished using the grinder, release the lid. Before emptying the contents of the grinder, always
power off the appliance by removing the power cord plug from the mains. Remove the lid only after checking
that the blade is no longer turning. The grounds can be poured or spooned out of the chamber.

•
Never operate the appliance while the chamber is empty.

If you put more into the appliance's coffee chamber than prescribed, this could overload the motor causing
the appliance to breakdown.
•

•
Do not use the coffee chamber for storage; do not store substances to grind, or ground substances in it.
After using the appliance, the coffee chamber must be emptied straight away.
•
Clean the coffee chamber immediately after use, as any grounds left in the chamber could become stale
or mouldy, the moisture in the air could cause the residue to harden on the central axis the blade is attached
to, which in turn could cause corrosion, overloading or damage to the appliance.

removed from the wall socket.
•
