POWER SUPPLY

The appliance must only be connected to mains electricity of 230V and 50Hz. Always ensure
the mains voltage where you’re using the appliance corresponds to the value shown on the
nameplate of the appliance.

USING THE DEVICE

Introduction; when to use the appliance

The appliance can be used to blend liquid consistency foods, liquids, milk shakes, sauces and baby food.

Before use

1. Unpack the appliance and remove all the packing materials.

2. Inspect the appliance and the accessories carefully to verify their soundness and undamaged condition. Only

perfectly sound and damage-free appliances may be connected to the electrical mains.

3. Before first using, clean the motor unit and the stainless steel attachment as described in the chapter

"Appliance maintenance and cleaning".

4. If the blender is to be stored within its wall mounting bracket, ensure that this bracket is installed where the

mounted blender will not hamper kitchen work or be dislodged, while being adequately distant from hot
surfaces and objects. For example do not position the appliance above a stove, oven or hotplate. Also, do not
mount the bracket above a sink, from where the appliance or power cord could fall into the water.
Always unplug the appliance before storing it in its wall mounting bracket.

How to use the appliance

1.

Insert the stainless steel attachment into the unplugged motor unit so that the triangle at the side of the

motor unit aligns with the triangle in the blending attachment; then turn it clockwise until the bayonet lock
secures the attachment tightly to the motor unit. When disassembling the appliance, unplug it, then remove
the blending attachment from the motor unit by turning it in the opposite direction, anti-clockwise.

2. Add all the ingredients into a good sized bowl or the measuring beaker and then immerse the stainless steel

blade of the appliance into the bowl’s ingredients. Plug the appliance power cord into a mains socket and
press one of the operating buttons to turn the appliance on. Use Button 2 for low speed and Button 1 for
higher speed blending.

Notes:

- For safety reasons the operating buttons must be continuously pressed for operation.

- When selecting a mixing bowl be sure that the side walls are sufficiently high to prevent any

spattering of the liquid ingredients during blending, at either slow or high speed operation.

other purpose. Never operate the appliance with a damaged mains cable or connector. Do not use the
appliance if it fails to work normally or if it has been dropped or damaged. If the appliance becomes faulty for
any reason or if any moisture is allowed inside, take it to a specialist engineer for checking and repair. Only

cannot take any responsibility for unauthorised repairs or for any circumstances resulting from not following
the instructions.

Special instructions:

Attention!

This appliance was designed for intermittent operation. At least 10 minutes’ pause is essential
after a maximum of 1 minute’s operation. If the blended material is denser than average or when
chopping, reduce the operating time to below 1 minute accordingly. Always unplug the appliance
during pauses. Disregarding instructions concerning pauses can result in damage to the appliance
and will be considered improper use.

The manufacturer will not be held liable for any failure of the appliance caused by or originating
from exceeding the time established for continuous operation or non compliance with the times
prescribed for waiting. The manufacturer will also not be liable for damage to the blending blade
or drive caused by improper cleaning, maintenance, dry running or other improper use; or
overload such as damage caused by accidental or wilful processing of hard materials.

If the provisions for intermittent operation (1 minute operation and 10 minutes’ pause) are not
complied with, the overheating protection installed into the appliance may be activated. If under
these circumstances the appliance stops during operation, turn it off with the push button then
unplug it from the mains wall socket or extension cable and wait for about 15-30 minutes. After
the cooling period, continue to use the appliance as described in the user manual. If it fails to work
after this waiting period, take it to a specialist engineer for repair.
