CLEAN/REPLACE SPARK PLUG
Change the spark plug every 100 hours of operation or
once each year, whichever comes first. This wiil heip
your engine to steui easier and run better. Repiace with
Champion RJ-8C or equivalent type spark plug. Set
spark plug gap 0.030 inch (0.76mm).
SERVICE AIR CLEANER
Your engine wiil not run properly and may be damaged if
you run it using a dirty air cleaner.
Clean or replace the air cieaner once every 25 hours of
operation or once each year, whichever comes first.
Ciean or repiace more often if operating under dirty or
dusty conditions. Replacements are available at your
local Sears Authorized Service Center.
To clean or replace the air cieaner, foliow these steps:
• Loosen screw.
• Remove air cleaner cover carefully. The screw will
stay with the cover.
To service the paper air filter clean it by tapping it
gently on a flat surface. If very dirty or damaged,
replace the air filter. DO NOT oil the air filter.
Reassmble all parts and fasten securely to the
engine with the screw.
