Using AC power adaptor
Connect the supplied AC power adaptor to
the DC IN 4.5 V jack and a wall outlet,
to a walheutlet
For models supplied with the AC plug
adaptor
If the AC power adaptor does not fit the wall
outlet, use the AC plug adaptor.

Connect the AC power adaptor.
The indication "CHG" lights up. Charge
for about 2 hours.
(If the battery has been already charged,
"CHG" and eg flash.)

Using rechargeable
battery

When fully charged, "CHG" disappears.
Disconnect the AC power adaptor.
Charge the rechargeable battery before using it
for the first time.
Use only BP-DMIO rechargeable battery for this
player. Do not use any other rechargeable
batteries.
1 Open the lid oî the battery compartment.

Insert the rechargeable battery so that the
word "SONY" is facing the same
direction as illustrated on the lid.
