Slowly and carefully close the feeder.
CAUTION
Lower the feeder slowly, taking care to avoid pinching your
fingers. Failure to do so might result in personal injury.
Cleaning the Feeder
Without periodic cleaning, a problem may be caused on the
scanned image or the document may become soiled. Clean the
feeder periodically.
1.
Open the feeder cover.
Operate the opening lever, and then slowly raise the cover
until it stops.

Wipe the 13 rollers inside the feeder cover with a
cloth moistened with plain water and thoroughly
wrung out. Next, wipe the rollers dry with a soft, dry
cloth.
