The IVCB-IV™ brake system (Infinitely Variable Centrifugal Brake) delivers superior casting
control using a unique four brake block configuration that works vertically instead of
horizontally. This system allows anglers to use a wide range of lures and excels in the ability to
throw lightweight finesse style baits - something that traditional horizontal braking systems
struggle to accomplish. The IVCB-IV™ brake is externally adjustable allowing for precision
tuning on the water without having to remove the sideplate.
Turn the IVCB-IV™ brake dial to fine tune spool tension. Rotate the dial towards the “MAX”
label to increase brake pressure. By moving the brake dial to the “MAX” position, the brake
blocks move out vertically, thereby applying more brake pressure. Turn the dial in the opposite
direction to reduce brake pressure.
