INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS THOROUGHLY
Safety+ PLUS® excess flow valves (EFV), an automatic safety valve for gas, utilize a
patented magnet-based excess flow technology. In the event of a gas line rupture or
disconnection at the appliance, the Safety+PLUS valve immediately restricts gas flow
to a non-hazardous level (a bypass flow) to avert the potential for a dangerous release
of gas into the home. Only after the gas line has been properly repaired, the bypass flow
automatically resets the valve, allowing gas flow to resume to the appliance.
WARNING: The maximum gas input rating of the appliance must be within the flow
capacity range of the connector (75,000- 106,000 BTU/Hr.). If the Safety+ PLUS gas
connector is not properly sized to the application, the Safety+PLUS connector may
not activate in the event of a gas line rupture or disconnection. If the Safety+ PLUS gas
connector is undersized for the appliance, may activate prematurely restricting gas flow
during normal operation of the appliance.
DO NOT twist, kink or stretch the gas connector.
Use adequate connector length to reach the appliance. Connector should be at least
2" to 3" longer than distance from gas supply to appliance.
DO NOT bend connector tighter than 1

DO NOT conceal connector or install connector through walls, partitions,
floors or appliance panels.
Connector should not come in contact with any other objects. Make certain that
connector does not become trapped or pinched.
Install connector using fittings supplied. DO NOT install captive connector nuts directly
to pipe threads. This will prevent a good seal.

El accesorio para válvula de gas de corte automático Safety+PLUS está diseñado para interrumpir
la alimentación de gas al artefacto cuando el flujo del gas excede el flujo normal que consume el
artefacto; como en el caso de una conexión de gas rota o abierta. Safety+PLUS no está diseñado
para detectar pérdidas menores causadas por pequeñas prietas o conexiones flojas. Safety+PLUS
no está diseñado para detectar fallas en su artefacto a gas o hecho de que no haya apagado.
No doble, pliegue o estire el conector de gas.
Use una longitud adecuada de conector para alcanzar al artefacto. El conector debe ser por los
menos 2” a 3” mas largo que la distancia del suministro de gas al artefacto.

No oculte el conector ni lo instale a través de paredes, divisiones pisos o paneles de artefactos.
El conector no debe estar en contacto con ningún otro objecto. Asegûrese que el conector
o resulte atrapado o apretado.
Instale el conector usando los accesorios suministrados. No instale las tuercas cautivas del conector
directamente en las roscas de tubos.
