Preventive Maintenance
!
WARNING:
Only facility-authorized personnel should service the S-H-TRAUMA Series Stretcher. Servicing performed by unauthorized
personnel could result in injury or equipment damage.
The S-H-TRAUMA Series Stretcher requires an effective maintenance program. We recommend that you perform annual
preventive maintenance (PM) and testing for Joint Commission on Accreditation of Health Care Organizations (JCAHO).
PM and testing not only meet JCAHO requirements but will help ensure a long, operative life for the S-H-TRAUMA Series
Stretcher.
PM will minimize downtime due to excessive wear.
Perform annual preventive maintenance procedures to make sure all S-H-TRAUMA Series Stretcher components are
functioning as originally designed. Pay particular attention to safety features, including but not limited to the following:
• Siderail latching mechanisms
• Caster braking systems
• Integrity of sleep surface ticking
• Hydraulic Functionality
• Integrity of warning/caution labels
• Oil leakage from hydraulic piston
