1. During the framing and rough-in stage, frame the opening in the wall to allow for installation of the recessed
Headwall. Refer to shop drawings for your particular headwall dimensions. Framing should provide adequate
support for the weight of the headwall, including any accessories that may be mounted on the headwall during
use.
2. Review a copy of the final approved shop drawing(s). These documents will provide you with technical
information specific to your installation, such as:
• Equipment types and quantities
• Room numbers and locations
• Shop drawings of each unit type
• Wiring diagrams and rough-in
locations
3. Locate the unit inside the crate that you
wish to install. The contents of each crate are listed on the shipping document(s) and crate label.
One unit is shipped complete (see Figure 1)
Remaining units are shipped as components
for ease of installation (see Figure 2):
• Console assembly
• Front frame with fascia
• Cover plates for devices (not shown)
• Hardware if applicable (not shown)

The installation instructions provided are for Amico standard products. Slight modifications to the installation
instructions may be required. The product shipped to the job site may not be exactly as shown in the
installation drawings used in this manual.
