PROFESSIONAL SERIES
Thank you for the purchase of a
Tundra International product!
In order to get the most out of your
inverter, it must be installed and used
properly. Please thoroughly read this
manual before installing and using your
new inverter.
It is important to pay special attention
to the “WARNING” statements in this
manual as well as on the inverter.
How to use your new inverter
If you want to use the current from the
cigarette lighter, use the cables included
with the inverter and fix each end solidly
on the inverter, put the specially
designed plug in the cigarette lighter
socket and turn on the inverter. A green
light will turn on and the inverter will be
ready to deliver 120 volts power. We do
not recommend using the cigarette
lighter plug if you plan to need more
than 240 watts; this could burn the
protective fuse in the dashboard.
WARNING! It is extremely
inadvisable to increase the
amperage of the car fuse; this
would overheat the car’s wires
and may cause fire.
If you want to plug your inverter directly
on the car’s battery, use the cables
included with the inverter and fix each
end solidly on the inverter and the
battery. Without tightening them too
much, the terminals must not be able to
move around. The cables must go from
the positive terminal of the inverter to
the positive terminal of the battery, and
from the negative terminal of the inverter
to the negative terminal of the battery.
It is also possible to install the inverter
permanently into your vehicle by using
AWG #8 cables (3 meters max.) and a
30A fuse mounted as close as possible to
the battery. Only a qualified technician
must perform this procedure.
Before using the inverter, make sure that
the total amount of current asked will not
exceed the capacity of the inverter (350
watts).
WARNING!
Reversing
the
polarity when connecting the
DC cables will permanently
damage your inverter. THIS IS
NOT COVERED BY THE
WARRANTY.

Maintenance
Be sure to disconnect the inverter from
the 12 volts source before cleaning, and
use only a dry cloth to do so.
WARNING! The inverter must
never be exposed to any liquids
or humidity.
Placement and storage
Place the inverter in a dry and cool
environment and avoid putting it under
the sunshine or near a heat source. Do
not place it near any flammable or easy
melting materials.
WARNING!
Do not use if the power source is not
12 volts.
When you stop using the inverter, be
sure to pull out the plug.
Because the temperature of the metal
pieces of the inverter might be high,
do not place it near any flammable or
easy melting materials.
The voltage protection system will
automatically shut off the inverter if
the input voltage is too low. Start
your car engine to charge the battery,
or stop using the inverter.
Be sure your inverter is OFF when
starting the vehicle engine.
If the consumption power is over the
inverter capacity, the over load
protection system will automatically
shut off the inverter. If the inverter
doesn’t come ON again by itself,
decrease the consumption and turn
the switch to OFF position and then
to ON.
The modified sine wave produced by
the inverter may cause some buzzing
and lines on audio and video
equipment.
We strongly recommend using a Pure
Sine Wave inverter for all of your
sensitive electronic equipments.
Stop using the inverter if the power
cord/plug has been damaged or
loosen. Have it repaired before using
it again.
Do not insert any object in the
inverter; it may cause fire, electric
shock or short circuit.
If there is any abnormal noise, smell
or smoke, turn off immediately the
inverter and contact your retailer.
Do not place any heavy object on the
inverter or the power cord.
Do not allow water drip or splash on
the inverter. Do not touch the case or
the power cord with wet hands.
Do not attempt any reparation or
modification; it may cause electric
shock or fire. When needed, contact
your retailer.
If the inverter has been exposed to
rain, moisture, or strong impact, have
it inspected by a qualified technician
before use.
