This controls how chroma is interpolated when converting from YUV 422 - > RGB 444. ‘Average Neighbors’ will produce
smoother c olors when converting; ‘Duplicate Values’ was added to essentially ‘turn off’ the averaging for a few customer’s
custom workflows.
Important Note about QuickTime Gamma Settings
Please Note: Even with the above settings to adjust Gamma, it is imperative that a user test out the settings in their own
workflows due to the fact that QuickTime Player and 3
rd
party applications can still disregard the Gamma information from
a codec and still attempt to adjust Gamma on their own.
