Place the battery in the correct position
as shown below.

Slide the battery cover back on.
Note
• Be careful that you do not catch the
battery connector cord.
• After replacement, you should set the date
and time.
(See Date and Time on page 20.)

Charge the battery for 12 hours. (See
Charging the battery on page 24.)
You can continue to set up the handset
during this time.
Setting your country

The first time you install the battery, you must
set your country so that the cordless handset
works correctly on local telecommunication
lines.

Press Menu/OK.

Press a or b to choose your country.
Press Menu/OK.
c
Press 1 to confirm.
Registering additional
cordless handsets
1
You can register 3 additional cordless
handsets for a total of 4 cordless handsets to
the machine (base unit). The cordless handset
that was included with your machine is already
registered with the machine (base unit).
Note
Do not operate any other cordless
handsets until registration of the cordless
handset you are registering has
completed.

Press Menu/OK on the cordless
handset.
Note
If you see Enter Register HS Mode
on Base Unit
on the LCD of the
cordless handset, go to step c.

Press a or b to choose Register HS.
Press Menu/OK.

Press MENU on the touchscreen of the
machine (base unit).
