DIRECTIONS FOR USE
It is a violation of Federal law to use this product in a manner inconsistent with its labeling. For
outdoor residential use.
TRAP ASSEMBLY
1) Remove vanes, bag and lure from box
2) Slide vanes together at open slots (to form an “X”). Make sure the ends slide into the channels
of the vanes.
3) Attach the bag to the hooks on the vanes.
4) Peel foil covering off of the dual lure package, as marked on the package.
Do not remove contents (lures). Position the dual lure plastic package so that the open (exposed)
side faces inward toward the trap. Insert one edge of the lure package into one vane slot, then tip
upward to insert into the opposite vane slot.
5) Your trap is now ready to hang and use.
PLACEMENT:
The hanger loop on the top of the vane is used to suspend the trap. Using a twist-tie, string or
wire, hang the trap from a tree, or a metal or wooden stake, about 3 to 5 feet above the ground.
To be most effective, the trap should be located about 10 feet downwind of the foliage to
intercept beetles heading toward it. Do not place the trap near or in the foliage as it will attract
more beetles into the foliage.
TRAP RATE: When using lure(s) on land, away from water.
For maximum effectiveness, use the suggested number of traps below:
Suggested # of Traps
Size of Use Area
1
Less than 1/8 acre
2

3

SUGGESTED TRAP MAINTENANCE:
• To replace bag, grasp the neck of the bag firmly in one hand and detach at each vane hook with
the other hand.
• Twist neck of bag and secure with a twist tie.
• Place bag in securely covered garbage container.
• Replace bags when full or when they begin to emit an offensive odor, which can repel Japanese
beetles.
• To reduce build up of odors or when holes become blocked during wet conditions, use a
toothpick to unplug holes in bag to allow for drainage.
• Replace “DUAL-LURE” at end of infestation period; it lasts all season.
STORAGE AND DISPOSAL
STORAGE: Do not contaminate water, food, or feed by storage or disposal. Store in a cool, dry
place. Do not open until ready to use.
DISPOSAL: At end of infestation season (or 3 months, whichever comes first), place in trash or
offer for recycling. Do not reuse lure container.
