Operation
Master/Slave Mode (Master Sound, Master Auto):
This mode will allow you to link up to 32 units together without a controller.
1) Use standard DMX cables to daisy chain your units together via the DMX connector on
the rear of the units. For longer cable runs we suggest a terminator at the last fixture.
2) Choose a unit to function as the Master. Press Menu once and then press up or down
until you see “Built in”, press enter and then choose either “Audio” or “Auto”. If using
“Auto” simply choose between Auto modes 1-7, and then press enter for your chosen Auto
mode. If using “Audio” simply press enter and the fixture will then respond to music via the
internal microphone. The unit must be the first unit in line to be a master unit. Then simply
chain the units together using DMX cable.
Note: The master unit must be in one of the Auto or Sound modes. See the Menu Map for
setting the options in the menu and navigating the Control Board.
3) To properly slave your fixtures, go to the control panel on the fixtures you wish to slave
and press menu until you see “Built in” and then press up or down until you see “Slave”.
Choose between slave modes 1-4. Press enter to confirm.
Note: if you would like to have the fixtures inverted, this can be set in the Control board in
the menu function “Reversal” for Pan and Tilt.
Degree
You can limit the full range of both Pan and Tilt by pressing Menu until “Degree” is dis-
played. Press enter and choose “Pan” or “Tilt”. For “Pan” the ranges to choose from are
“540”, “360”, or “180”. Select whichever degree range you wish and press enter to confirm.
The default factory setting for Pan is 630.
To modify the Tilt range repeat the steps above but select “Tilt” instead. The options for Tilt
are, “270”, “180”, or “190”. Once again, select whichever degree range you wish and press
enter to confirm. The default factory setting for Tilt is 270.
DMX Mode
This mode allows the unit to be controlled by any universal DMX controller. If you are unfa-
miliar with DMX, please read the DMX Primer section.
1) Set the menu to “Address.”
2) Set your DMX starting address, and hit
DMX Channel Values
The ICE TRI™ has 4 DMX channel profiles (operation modes). These can be accessed in the
Control Board by pressing Menu and then press up or down until you see “Channel”, then
press enter. Choose between 8 channel, 12 channel, 18 channel, and 23 channel mode.
Press enter to confirm.
Load Data
Press menu and then press up or down until you see “Load Data”, Press enter
and “Yes” should be displayed. Press enter one more time and factory default
settings will be restored on the fixture.
