Turn tool on and place the complete sanding
surface on the workpiece to achieve uniform
material removal. Work with moderate
forward motion. Perform the sanding
movements with parallel and overlapping
passes. Sand in the direction of the grain;
crossways sanding can result in uneven
finishes.
As a result of the high removal rate, only
light application pressure should be used
while working to prevent damage to
workpiece.
When sanding corner frames (e.g., interior
corners), always move forward only so far
that the sanding belt does not come in
contact with the side that is vertical to the
workpiece.
FLUSH SANDING
Your sander has been designed to allow
convenient flush sanding on the right side of
the sander, however your sander can be
used on either surface by simply turning the
tool upside down. This unique design allows
flush sanding on the right and left sides of a
workpiece.
ATTENTION: When the tool is being used
upside down belt will rotate the opposite
direction, and the dust collection system will
not work.
Only flawless sanding belts produce good
sanding results and protect the tool. Do not
continue to use worn out, torn or heavily
clogged sanding belts.
To increase belt life, apply uniform pressure.
Increasing pressure does not improve
sanding performance, but increases wear to
the tool and the sanding belt.
Do not sand wood and metal with the same
sanding belt.
Use only original Bosch sanding belts and
accessories.
