Using an S&S® Dual-Bore Induction System on MY 2006 – 2007 Harley-Davidson® Models* with EFI- This Tech Bulletin describes the use of the
S&S dual-bore induction system on MY 2006–2007 H-D® motorcycles with EFI* **.

* Except Sportster® Models
**Note, the S&S 55-5090 ECM must be used with the S&S dual-bore induction system. The stock ECM will not properly handle the MAP (Manifold Absolute
Pressure) signal from this system. The S&S 55-5034 does not communicate on the vehicle network found 2004 and newer motorcycles which operates the
speedometer, tachometer, and Turn Signal (and Security, if applicable) Module (TSM/TSSM).

Make the following changes to the motorcycle so the engine management system will function properly:
INTAkE MANIFOLDS:
Stock heads feature a slight change in port design. Blending of the head port opening is not required but may improve performance. Determine the
distance between port centers on the heads. For stock applications, Size Code 405 manifolds, 16-5058, are recommended for MY 2006 – 2007 instead
of Size Code 410 manifolds, 16-5059, used for earlier model years.

FUEL INLET TUBE:
Use fuel inlet tube S&S 50-0485 or one for a 2001–2005 single-bore EFI model.

IDLE AIR CONTROL (IAC) MOTOR:
The stock IAC motor used on 2006–2007 fuel injected models will not fit in S&S throttle bodies. Also, IAC harness wiring has changed compared to
that used on 2001 – 2005 single-bore EFI models.
To properly configure the IAC:
1- Use IAC S&S 55-5085 or one for a 2001–2005 single-bore EFI model.
2- Change the IAC motor wiring to match that used on 2001–2005 single-bore EFI models.

The recommended method is to switch terminals 18 and 35 of the 36-Termnal ECM connector. This connector is much easier to assemble and
disassemble than the one that attaches to the IAC motor. Note: The wire colors will no longer correctly correspond to the stock wiring diagrams. The
following table shows the resulting wire connections:

This can also be accomplished by swapping the terminals on the IAC connector as follows:
A - BE/GN
B - BR/R
C - BK/PK
D - BK/OR

If you are looking at the back of the connector where the wires enter with the locking tab facing up, terminal A will be on the far left with D on the
far right.

INjECTOR CONNECTORS:
The stock injector connectors must be replaced with those used on 2005 and earlier EFI models. The H-D part number for the connector is: 72244-95
and for the terminals: 72245-95.

THROTTLE POSITION SENSOR (TPS):
To connect to the TPS, the connector on the stock harness must be changed to that used for 2005 and earlier EFI models. The H-D part number for
the connector is: 72280-95 and for the terminals: 72033-93.

The connections for the new connector are as follows:
BK/W wire - A
R/W wire - B
GY/V wire – C

AIR TEMPERATURE SENSOR:
The air temperature sensor must be replaced. Use S&S kit 55-5041 or the H-D part used on 2005 and earlier EFI models.
