STEP 3
Note how the stock footpeg pivot pin, detent washer, ball and spring are assembled before
removing the pivot pin. Remove the cotter pin from the pivot pin, remove the pivot pin. Set it
aside, it will be re-used later.
STEP 4 Remove the footpeg from the motorcycle, paying close
attention to the location of the detent plate, ball and spring
as the new parts will need to be installed in the same order.

STEP 5
Place a dab of grease in the hole of one of the adapters. This
will help hold the spring and ball in place. Place the spring
first, then the ball in this hole. PIC 3
STEP 5 Place the OEM Detent Plate over the ball and spring. Turn
the adapter over so the detent plate is on the bottom. Slide
the adapter into the stock footpeg clevis so the extended tab
fits into slot on the mount. PIC 4
STEP 6
Secure the adapter in the clevis using the stock pivot pin.
Make sure the Detent Spring, Ball and
Plate do not move out of position when
installing the adapter.
STEP 7 Secure the pivot pin with the OEM flat washer and included
cotter pin.
STEP 8 Fold the footpeg adapter up and down to ensure the Detent
Ball is engaging the holes in the Detent Plate properly.
STEP 9 Install your choice of Küryakyn Splined Footpeg to the
adapter. Position the footpeg to the desired position and
tighten the center fastener securely.
STEP 10 Repeat for the other side.
Installing the set screws in the adapters
and threading them in until they contact
the footpeg mount will create a “fixed”
mount for use with Kuryakyn P/N 4351
and 4357 ONLY.
FOOTPEGS MUST BE INSTALLED SO
THEY WILL FOLD UPWARD AND
REARWARD IF HIT BY ANY OBJECT.
FAILURE TO ADJUST THE FOOTPEGS
TO OPERATE IN THIS MANNER
COULD RESULT IN SERIOUS INJURY
OR DEATH.
It is the installer’s responsibility to
ensure that all of the fasteners (including
pre-assembled) are tightened before operation of the motorcycle.
Küryakyn will not provide warranty coverage on products or components
lost due to improper installation or lack of maintenance. Periodic
inspection and maintenance are required on all fasteners.
